Verse of the Day for Wednesday, January 15th, 2025

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous,
    and praise his holy name.

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
    but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

“Ever since the time of your forefathers, you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him.
